Adapted Physical Education Teacher

I started teaching for P53K during the 2021-2022 school year. I earned my bachelor's degree in physical education from Queens College and my master's degree in health education from Touro University Worldwide. I love teaching my students skills that they can use outside of school in order to participate in physical activity. I enjoy hiking and cooking during my spare time.

English as a New Language Teacher

Hi! I have been having the pleasure to work with the students of P53K for 4 years. Before I was working at P186X in the Bronx for 11 years. I have been teaching for 31 years. I am Ukrainian, graduated from the Minsk State Linguistic University in the capital of Belarus, Touro College in NYC, and I got my Administrative Degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. When I am not working, I read, hike, visit museums or watch movies.

Hello, my name is Jackie Geary. I completed my undergraduate degree at St. Francis College and my master's degree at CUNY Brookyln College. I have been teaching for 12 years. This is my 9th year teaching at P53K.

Occupational Therapist

My name is Rachelle Austin and I started working as an occupational therapist with P53K in October 2021. I received my Bachelor’s degree at Seton Hall University and my Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Howard University. I love helping to increase my students’ independence through functional activities that will help them in their daily lives. In my spare time, I love to listen to music, shop, and try new cooking recipes.

My name is Alexus Catullo. I am a Brooklyn native who began my teaching career at P53K in 2017. My journey started with the teaching fellows followed by the completion of my master's degree at Brooklyn College. My days with my students are fulfilling for an array of reasons. I love how over the past six years I have watched my students grow into young adults while mastering their social, academic and life goals. I love what I do, and I love being part of an amazing school community where students' success is our objective.
